Day 1 | Commit to Change

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” - Hebrews 12:2

Before you dream or aspire for self-improvement, you must first of all, commit to do it. You won’t change yourself or an area in your life, unless, you make a commitment to change. To commit is to bind yourself to an obligation. So don’t just wish or dream or hope – obligate yourself to change. You’ve probably heard the saying, “Begin Right,” well, committing to change is the way to begin it right.

To better make your commitment stick, make it a sacred act. The Bible says, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…” (Colossians 3:17). Make God as your witness to your commitment to change. Pray for it. I believe that any changes you’re committing to do, especially, those that involve your walk with the Lord, your family, your health and career, are sacred. The reason is because all of them are God’s trusts to you.

Focus also on your goal to make your commitment steady. That’s what men of faith such as Abraham, Moses and others did. They identified their goal and they pursued them without fail. As a result, God commended them (Hebrews 11:10,27,39). Like them, you must also concentrate and commit to achieve your goals. Don’t flinch. Change is coming. Your transformation is about to begin!
